Bilyeu, who finished eighth at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, came in the same time that Rinaldo, who had set the 1913 record in a car, spent on a bike a century ago. “I wanted to break the record,” said Bilyeu, who became a United States citizen last year. “Riding a century on the bike feels like it will age you.
